Our LEED House
Our LEED House
Landscape design plans
Our property is almost 4 acres, but only the area around the house is considered for LEED landscape design points. However, with 40+ students in the landscape architecture class, it made sense to divide the property up into areas. Several groups took turns focusing on an area, and we display the results here for all to see. All of the designs did a wonderful job of using sustainable materials and native plants, with permeable hardscape and minimal lawn, no matter what area they were working on. We only display pieces of the design boards-the presentations themselves and the materials we received were very thorough. We’ll have a hard time choosing a final design for the LEED area, and we have years of additional landscaping ideas to keep us going. To the members of HORT 461/661 Spring 2008-THANK YOU!
